Thank you and well done to
Kat and
Anne for organising the
Swap your Stash shindig, it is just the motivation I needed to start going through my hoard and be realistic. I can't help but feel that there has been a load of stash guilt lately - personally I don't feel guilty about mine at all, but I like the idea of getting to refresh it! As I work through more is likely to become available, but in the meantime, let's get started!
Maroon, red and white panels by 'Xanebo International collection'; 3m x 115cm. Content unknown - soft, silky feel, most likely synthetic. Absolutely beautiful, but not my colour or style.

Black, sparkly sequinned fabric; entire width 1.2m (sequined section 97cm) x 80 cm. Synthetic all the way. Gifted to me by a crafty colleague, but just not my thing!

| Available |
Cotton twill with mustard, ruby and forest green stripes; 2.1m x 112cm. I've had this since I was teenager. f it hasn't been made into something by now, it's time it went to another home - it is an excellent weight for a casual blazer.

Dark teal poly knit; 1.4m x 150cm. Very fine but opaque, comes as a tube. Very hard to photograph - I could best describe it as sea-green teal, really.
 |
| Available |
Blue roses on a black background, wool. Has been cut - 2.7 m long x 50cm at its narrowest point and 110 at its widest, but is 110cm wide for most of the length, and very useable. Includes a half finished gored skirt. I love it, but I don't do larger prints.

Navy daisy rayon; 1.2m x 105cm. I bought this at fabric-a-brac without looking at the measurement, thinking I could make a dress. Unluckily for me there's not enough, but luckily for someone else there is!

If you like anything, please leave me a comment - I'd be happy to swap! I will ship internationally.
OMG, that cotton twill with the stripes! I am in love!! Can I dibs it, pretty please?
ReplyDelete(I'm also in love with the black-with-blue-flowers one. Is it too greedy to call dibs on two?? Eek!)
I'll have my fabric list up in the next day or two, so hopefully you'll see something you like so we can do a swap! Fun!! :-)
Oh, and I've just added you to the Pinterest board and the participants list. :-)
Cotton twill may be yours for that 60's pattern - I can't see it on the Pinterest Board anymore! I'll have a look at your fabric too! This is such fun!
DeleteYay! :-) I took the pattern down once I saw you wanted it, I have it safely put aside for you. Shall we do the swap in person when we go for tea-and-cake in a couple of weeks?
DeleteAlso, if Joy has something she wants to swap, since I got first dibs on the twill I think she should have first dibs on the blue-on-black wool. (Also, it would look stunning on her!) :-)
I love that blue on black wool as well, but don't think I have anything to share - it's going to be a nightmare to even go through it all! So if Kat has something that you like, do that. If however she doesn't, and if you have something in particular you are after, let me know and I'll fossick. I also quite like that daisy rayon, although I wonder if The Dreamstress would be more suited to it?
ReplyDeleteThe daisy rayon is gorgeous, I am so gutted there isn't much. It could maybe make a sleeveless blouse but a floral blouse isn't my style, so to a better home it goes! It's a good motivation to sort through the hoard. Usually I go for smaller prints or solids, blues and greens are most common, but red is popular with me too. Let me know if you find anything you'd like to swap!
DeleteI'm also tempted by the daisy rayon-- my first thought was a blouse! So if charmofmagpies doesn't go for it and you see anything out of my fabric you'd like, let me know!
ReplyDeleteI'll reserve it for you... that poly print is tempting me!
DeleteWhich one? I have a lot of prints, lol!
DeleteSome cool stuff! Sadly I have nothing at all to swap, otherwise I'd grab up that daisy rayon, lol :P
ReplyDeleteHey Lady, at your request I added you to the Fearless February participant list. Don't forget to pick up a button. We look forward to seeing how you progress:)
ReplyDeleteWahoo! Thankee!
DeleteReplying over here so I don't mess up the comment count on the giveaway post-- mine's on the 26th, so yes, that would make me a Pisces too!
ReplyDeleteGood for you for joining in. It's kinda fun giving stuff away to 'strangers', isn't it?
