It's not just the women in this family

Have you heard of TED? I hadn't until early December, when all of a sudden my brother was doing a TEDx talk at Te Papa, our National Museum.

TED is all about sharing great ideas, and Evan has a pretty sweet idea about making, and encouraging people to do so with new technology so that we ditch the modern, one-size-fits-all idea of furnishing our lives that works OK but is never quite right.

Now, if that doesn't fit the bill of us sewists, then I'm not sure what does. But seriously, this here is my brother, an industrial designer who makes his own surfboards. I'm so proud of him I could burst.

Also, I really encourage you to get into watching some TED talks. There are some amazing people out in this world!

Also wanted to let you know I nominated you for some awards. You can see what they are on my blog: http://eleynagomez.wordpress.com/2013/01/15/wow-awards-pour-moi/

I'm sure you must have been nominated before, but just wanted to send you some sewing blog love. :)

    Happy Tuesday!
